Race Preview - Zealand State Championship round 3
This weekend the team will race in the third round of Zealand State Championship. This race will take place at the teams home track - Roskilde Racing Center. This will be the first championship race after the summer break and we will look to build on the momentum from the first part of the season.

Friday practice: 3;30PM - 7;00PM

Race day (Saturday)
Free practice: 8;30AM - 10;45AM
Qualifying: 11;20AM -12;20PM
Heat Start: 13;00PM

Henrik Rasmussen - Chef Mechanic: This is the home race for the team so obviously we hope to do well here. We know the track well so it should not be too difficult to find a good setup. However this track does not suit our old "futura style" engine well due to the long straights and turns that require really good medium-end power.

Nicklas Rasmussen - Race Driver: It has been a long summer break and i can not wait to get back behind the wheel again. This is our home race and i hope to be able to get a good result this weekend. I know this track very well and it is a great place to race for sure. The long back straight and the fast open turns makes for some good overtaking opportunities, and obviously the last chicane can be very challenging. Unfortunately we are most likely to struggle a bit here since we have got a major disadvantage compared to the teams that are running with the newer "KF-style" engines. But this is racing and a lot of things can happen so we will do everything we can to get a solid result.

Race repport from the third round of the HM Club Championship

We finished today's race at Rødby Karting Circuit in 4th place. This race was also the very last event to take place at the circuit since it is due to be demolished in a few weeks. This was a very spacial day for the whole team. We have had a lot of good races at this track, and it was an emotional goodbye to the track.

Race repport from the second round of the HM Club Championship
A difficult day for the team at the second round of the HM Club Championship at Roskilde Racing Center.

P9 in qualifying.

In the first heat we finished P7 but Nicklas was handed a 3 second time plenty for jumping the start and that costed him two positions. In the second heat the track was damp but we decided to use the dry triers. The track was try enough for the tiers to get up to temperature and we finished in P7 In the Finale we started P8 and once again the track was damp. This time we decided to use the wet tires, but the track was to dry and the tires overheated. After 4 lap we had to retire from the race.

Race Preview - Zealand State Championship round two
This weekend the team will race in the second round of Zealand State Championship. This race will take place at the Korsør Karting Circuit and we will look to build on the momentum from last month's solid preformence in Rødby.

Friday practice: 4;00PM - 8;00PM

Race day (Saturday)
Free practice: 9;00AM - 10;40AM
Qualifying: 11;00AM -12;00PM
Heat Start: 13;00PM

Henrik Rasmussen - Chef Mechanic
The Korsør Karting Circuit has a lot of narrow and tight turns followed by a relatively long start/finish straight. This should suit our old "futura style" engine well and we hope to be able to build on our momentum from Rødby.

Nicklas Rasmussen - Race Driver
This track is one of my favorite places to race. You got a lot of narrow turns which are very technical and requires a well balanced setup and a lot of bottom-end power from the engine. Then you go out on the start/finish straight which is relatively long but very bumpy, and good straight line speed here is critical. I think that our engine and kart is going to suit this track well, but we still have an disadvantage compared to the teams that are running with the newer "KF-style" engines.

Pre Season Test day - Report
Track: Roskilde Racing Center
Weather conditions: Cloudy - 7 degrees Celsius
Track conditions: Dry
Fastest lap time: 53.679
Total laps: 51

A positive day for NHR Racing Team. We started the day with checking all the systems on the engine to make sure that the problem from last weeks shakedown test did not reappear. After that we tried out a few engine settings, and started to extract more power from the engine. As the day was nearing its end we began working different on set-up option, mainly on tire pressure. Unfortunately at the end of the day we experienced a minor problem with the brakes that stopped us completing more laps, but we still managed 51 laps with a fastest time of 53.679

New national kart racing classes in Denmark
Formula Yamaha stays the same as last year

The Futura class is now called DASU Senior. In this class you can still race with a futura engine, but also KF and Rok+Super engines.

In 2014 it was announced that the national top category "KF National" was being closed. Now there is a new national top category called "DASU KZ" This class is for the super fast shiftier karts with 6 gears

Although these classes are officially the new national classes, they have been used as experimental classes in the regional and club championships for a few years.
